Who even reads my blog? Probably no one!
But if you do, I suggest a Television show to you!
Deadliest Warrior!
It runs on Spike TV Tuesdays and is enjoyable. It pairs two different classes of warriors in a battle to see who would win.
Check it out.

IMDB
I was spending sometime this evening googling my name to see if there was anything incriminating about me surfing the information super highway.
I then came upon this.
Where I then began to post somewhat stupid comments about myself.
No one knows its me, right? Who cares, I'm up 32% in popularity this week! Maybe if I hit 'refresh' one more time, I'll make it to 50.
Awesome.
I'm going to bed.

Index Card Challenge!
This is somewhat of an evolution of how it came to be. When I was working on Coraline, I would draw pictures of one of my co-workers; 'Sir Timothy Yates'. Each picture of him was drawn on a small stickypad, approx 1.5"x1". Each picture was different and had a caption that always had 't' in it. For example; "Tim on a Train" or "Tim on a Trip to Texas". Well, I filled up an entire 11x17 (48 drawings) piece of paper and never got fired.
My bosses actually loved it and when Tim moved over to track reading, many of the animators got a kick out of it. I like to think of it as a moral booster. Long days, long shoots, you need to laugh. Its necessary.
Well, when Tim was out there promoting his comic book at Stumptown comic convention in Portland. He did something similar but instead of following a letter combination. He drew pictures on index cards and sold them for some sum of money.
One day I was bored and what he did sounded like a good exercise. So I said "Hey, I'll try and do 100 that are mostly one panel comics." I made it to like 34 until it became too much. I even drew the 34 over the period of a few days. Only when some idea popped into my head.
One panel comics are tough to. You have to get the set up and punchline all in one panel. I think a 3 panel is really easy compared to this.
So here are some of the ones I drew. Some funny. Some horrible.

Old 2d Stuff....
Wow. This crap is old. An old walk cycle I did for a DVD cover. There is a longer version in an SWF version that I'll see if I can post.
... More later....

Portland, OR
Although I don't live in Portland, I feel like I am fairly familiar with the town and could call it somewhat of a second home (but not really, I'm more of a country boy).
A few months back I shot some footage of Portland for fun. Here is what I shot, most of it being fairly unedited.

Quick Sketch
Frankfurt throws a party...
I've come to the conclusion that writing a comic, no matter how long; is much quicker than drawing a comic. I came up with this idea in about five seconds but it took me around five hours to draw and color for some reason... I'm generally not that slow.
More comics on the way, when I get around to em'.

At
one point in my life I wanted to work in the CG industry. So while in Art school, I spent plenty of time modeling and texturing different projects. First on the left is the cabin from Evil Dead II, which was one of the first big projects I had. Next was a texturing assignment I had the following semester. Following that was some character modeling courses I took, which were fun. This is where I began a writing down notes for a little buddy story between a Chupacabra and a Goat. Finally, was a guitar I modeled for some class... Not even sure what it was for anymore.
I have some more models sitting around here on my computer but all are in their respective .ma/.mb formats, which is a problem. I don't have maya anymore. :(
As much as I enjoyed modeling, animating was much more fun. I'll see what I can find around here in both the traditional 2d, flash and CG forms.

More Sci-Fi
I found these lodged in some strange folder on my desktop. Both were done a few years a go while I was still in art school. Used Photoshop and a Wacom. Cesar from... Well, you know. And Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars: RotJ. Lemme see what else I can find...

I sit in a dimly lit room as the night time hours approach. Currently, I'm in the process of gathering and updating my portfolio. It seems as though most of my old pieces of artwork have been scattered through out this 'M' sized planet we live on.
Over the coming days, I will find and post artwork that I deem of superior and even inferior quality.
Off to the bridge. Hopefully Worf won't be acting up today.
